United States is concerned about situation in Iran

The United States will continue to impose unilateral sanctions against officials and power structures of Iran for suppressing protests and the application of force regarding participants in protests. This was stated by US Presidential Assistant Jake Sullivan. A written statement was published on the White House website.

“We are deeply concerned about the messages from Iran on the mass arrests of protesters who put forward the legal requirements for the government, which systematically deprive their people of the basic freedoms, on fictitious trials (in relation to demonstrators – ed.) And now the adoption (one of them – ed. ) the sentence to the highest degree of punishment, ”the statement said.

“The United States, together with partners and allies around the world, will continue through (application – ed.) Sanctions and other means to ensure the accountability of those who are responsible for current abuses (in Iran – Ed.),” Jake Sullivan said.
