The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported receipt of guarantees of the United States military department to provide support in the event of a military conflict with Russia. The statement about this, as reported on Thursday, the press service of the Ukrainian Office, made in a telephone conversation of the Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and the United States Andrei Taran and Lloyd Austin, reports TASS.
In the report, it is noted that this is the second Taran and Austin conversation over the past year and a half and that it took place on the initiative of the American side.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, added in the press service, informed the interlocutor about the situation in the zone of the power operation in the Donbas. In addition, they discussed “specific directions of strengthening interaction in the field of security and defense.”
