US Embassy in Yerevan announced an open contest of proposals aimed at the “Development of Democracy” in Armenia. The total amount of financing of the program will be $ 400 thousand, transfers RT.
“This program is aimed at supporting the initiatives aimed at developing democracy, encouraging respect for human rights and promoting civil education in Armenia,” the text of the document says.
In the description of the grant, it is indicated that special attention will be paid to initiatives to support independent media, “involvement of young people in the development of civil participation, political discussions and social responsibility in Armenia”, as well as on “strengthening freedom on the Internet.”
