US Department Of Education Began An Investigation Against University Of Michigan

The US Department of Education began an investigation into the University of Michigan due to “incomplete and inaccurate” reports on foreign financing.

According to the statement of the department, the university delayed and with violations reported on tens of millions of dollars related to foreign funds.

Part of the sources was designated as “non -governmental organizations”, however, most of them had a direct connection with foreign government.

The University carries both legal and moral obligation – to transparently disclose information about its international partnerships, ”the department emphasized.

The Ministry demanded from the university within 30 days to provide a full list of tax documentation related to foreign financing, including a list of all foreign donations, grants and contracts.

The message also notes that the accusation of the contrabanda of biological materials in the United States in June is also a two Chinese scientist associated with the University “demonstrates its vulnerability to sabotage.”
