US Department Of Energy: Upcoming Nuclear Tests Will Take Place Without Explosions

The upcoming nuclear tests, which will be carried out at the direction of President Donald Trump, do not involve nuclear explosions. This was announced by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

In an interview with Fox News, Wright explained the details of the test program and noted that we are not talking about full-scale nuclear explosions. “We are talking about system tests. These are not nuclear explosions, we call them not critical explosions,” the secretary said.

Wright added that the tests cover all other components of a nuclear weapon and are conducted “to verify the correct design of the device and provide the necessary mechanism for the possible initiation of a nuclear reaction.”

Trump ordered the resumption of nuclear testing

U.S. President Donald Trump on October 30 announced that he had directed the Department of Defense to “immediately begin” nuclear testing.

“Because of the testing programs of other countries, I have instructed the Pentagon to begin testing our nuclear weapons. This process will begin immediately,” Trump said on the social network.

The President emphasized that the United States has “more nuclear weapons than any other country.” Trump said that because of the colossal destructive power of nuclear weapons, he would not want to have anything to do with this, but there is no other choice. “Russia is now second, China is far behind, but in five years they can catch up with us,” he noted.
