Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which bilateral issues were discussed, as well as a regional agenda, including the situation in Syria, Gaza and Ukraine.
According to information received from diplomatic sources, a telephone conversation was made between Fidan and Rubio, in the center of which there were both bilateral relations and regional issues.
Minister Fidan emphasized the importance of canceling sanctions against Syria in terms of stability and well -being of this country.
The parties also noted the importance of the liberation of the American citizen Edan Alexander, held by Hamas, and exchanged views on negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
In addition, during the conversation, the details of the Rubio visit to Turkey were discussed as part of an unofficial meeting of NATO foreign ministers, which will be held on May 14-15 in Antalya.
