The US administration decided to exempt some types of agricultural products from reciprocal duties from November 13. The corresponding decree was signed by US President Donald Trump.
The decree refers to changes to the list of goods subject to reciprocal duties announced this year.
It is emphasized that when making the decision, factors such as the state of negotiations with various trading partners, as well as domestic demand and production capacity for certain types of products were assessed. As a result, it was concluded that it was necessary to provide an exemption from reciprocal duties primarily for a number of agricultural goods.
The document states that this initiative comes into force on November 13, 2025, and updated lists of exempted goods are provided in the appendix to the decree.
It is noted that the US Department of Commerce and the Office of the Trade Representative will continue to monitor the situation and, if necessary, new steps may be taken.
According to the appendix to the decree, Exempt items include agricultural products such as beef, tomatoes, coffee, bananas, coconuts, avocados and pineapples.
