Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jayun Bayramov received a delegation led by the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee David Harris. This is stated in the report of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction a meeting with David Harris as part of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly and discussion with the US Jewish Committee.
The parties agreed on the development of cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Jewish community.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the side of the current situation in the region, including the steps taken to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as on the ongoing military provocations from Armenia and the murder of the Azerbaijani military personnel two days ago.
David Harris thanked for a meeting and provided information. He stressed the importance of ensuring lasting peace and security in the region.
Parties also discussed the prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-American relations and other issues of mutual interest.
