The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) released a directive that orders to immediately dismiss about 1,000 transgender soldiers from the armed forces.
The latest directive published by the Pentagon provides for the dismissal of transgender soldiers from the US Armed Forces in accordance with the relevant decree signed by US President Donald Trump.
According to this directive, the Pentagon will immediately begin to remove about 1000 transgender soldiers from service in the army, openly declare their identity, and will give the rest 30 days to identify themselves.
Defense Minister Pit Hegset, who published this directive, in his statement by the topic noted that the decision of the Supreme Court that allowed the Trump administration to implement this order is very important for them.
“There are no more pronouns. There are no more men in dresses. We ended this nonsense,” the minister said.
May 6, the US Supreme Court made a decision allowing the Trump administration to introduce a ban on the transgender service in the army.
The Ministry of Defense announced that it would start checking medical records to determine the status of soldiers.
