US President Donald Trump ordered to strengthen measures to detain and deport migrants, contrary to major protests in a number of cities of the country.
The head of state wrote about this on his page on the social network Truth Social, commenting on protests organized in large American cities, in particular in Los Angeles, against the migration policy of the authorities.
The US ICE immigration and customs control service (ICE) organized the “largest operation in the history of mass deportation of illegal migrants,” the president said. “Nothing can prevent us from fulfilling our duty,” said the head of the White House.
According to Trump, he instructed ICE employees to do everything possible to implement the “only and largest mass eviction program in the history of the program.”
The President called for the activation of deportation and detentions in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, accusing local democrats of the fact that they use illegal migrants to increase the number of voters and “take jobs and opportunities from US citizens.”
He added that the federal government will continue the measures to return illegal migrants to their countries, giving instructions to a number of departments, including ICE, the State Department and the Ministry of Defense, “bring the matter to the end.”
In Los Angeles, promotions were held against ICE actions, during which many participants were detained. In certain areas of the city, clashes occurred between demonstrators and law enforcement agencies.
Trump said that the National Guard units were sent to Los Angeles in order to stabilize the situation, liability for what is happening to democrats.
The US Department of Defense announced preparations for the deployment of 4 thousand military personnel of the National Guard by order of Trump.
The head of the department Pit Hegset noted that about 700 naval infantrymen will also be sent to the city as part of the security measures.
