The US Secret Service removed six employees from the post of investigation of the attempt on President Donald Trump, committed on July 13, 2024.
According to CBS News, the assistant director of the Secret Service Matthew Quinn, the decision to remove the incident was made. According to him, measures affected both employees who were in command posts and those who were directly at the scene. They are removed from work for a period of 10 to 42 days.
It is specified that for the period of removal, employees lose wages and social benefits.
Kuinn described what happened as an “operating error” and assured that all the necessary steps were being taken to prevent a repetition of such cases.
