US Secretary Of State Held Meeting With Heads Of Diplomatic Departments Of Five Central Asian Countries

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on the eve of the summit in the “Central Asia – USA” (C5+1) format at the level of heads of state and presidents, met with the heads of the foreign affairs departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

As part of the opening ceremony organized at the US State Department building, Rubio met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Ermek Kosherbaev, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Speaking at the event, Marco Rubio emphasized that the United States is “actively seeking additional opportunities to advance its economic interests,” and emphasized the key importance of developing mutual trade.

On November 6, the leaders of the states participating in the C5+1 dialogue – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the United States – will hold a summit meeting.
