US Secretary Of State Marco Rubio Will Visit Turkey

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will accompany President Donald Trump on a trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and then arrive in Turkey to participate in the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers (NATO IFMM).

The written statement of the press secretary of the State Department Tammy Bruce contains information about the planned Rubio program.

According to the statement, Rubio will accompany President Trump in Saudi Arabia and Katar on May 11-14, aimed at strengthening the connections between the United States and their partners in the Persian Gulf.

“Meetings of a Secretary of State with high -ranking officials will contribute to the development of solutions to global and regional problems, expanding bilateral trade and investments, as well as confirmation of our strategic partnerships,” the spokesman said. >

Later, the Secretary of State Rubio will go to Turkey to take part in the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Antalya on May 14-15, where ministers will discuss security priorities, an increase in defense investment and the cessation of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to the press secretary, Marco Rubio in Antalya will promote the President Trump program to ensure the increase in the allied contribution to strengthening and increasing NATO efficiency.
