US Senate approved financial assistance to Ukraine

The US Senate voted to allocate a package of financial assistance in the amount of $ 12.4 billion for the allocation of Ukraine, writes Washington Post.

It is assumed that $ 7.8 billion will be allocated for defense needs, and $ 4.5 billion – for direct budget support for Ukraine.

This document also resumes the powers of the White House to transfer to Ukraine weapons and equipment from the warehouses of the US Department of Defense in the new financial year in the amount of $ 3.7 billion. The bill should still be supported by the House of Representatives in which the vote is scheduled for Friday, September 30.
