US Senate rejected bill on blocking sale of F-16 Turkey

The US Senate rejected the bill on blocking the sale of F-16 Turkey.

Voting regarding the adoption or deviation of the bill made by the American Senator Randa Paul from Kentukka on February 5, took place in the General Assembly of the Senate.

In support of the bill on blocking the sale of F -16 of Turkey, 13 senators spoke, “against” – 79.

Thus, the initiative proposed by Paul on blocking the sale of the F-16 of Turkey was rejected in the Senate with a great advantage.

F-16 sales to Turkey

US State Department on January 26 sent the Congress an official notification regarding the sale of 40 F-16 fighters of Turkey and sets of modernization of existing fighters.

The US Congress had 15 days to evaluate and objections after an official notice of the sale of F-16 Turkey.

The objection to the Senate was transmitted only by the senator from the state of Kentukki Rand Paul. The document entered the Senate Committee on International Relations, but no action was taken.

Earlier, the US administration sent a letter to Ankara about the adoption and proposal regarding the sale of the F-16.
