The US Aviation Authority threatened to detention to pilots and crews of Russian aircraft, if they break the ban on the use of the country’s airspace, the Federal Aviation Administration reports, RIA Novosti reports.
“Operated aircraft specified in the instructions that will not submit to it can be intercepted, their pilots and other crew members are detained and questioned by law enforcement agencies or security officers. The exception will be made for aircraft involved in humanitarian operations approved by aviation authorities, as well as for the following with diplomatic objectives. However, it is pre-obtaining an appropriate permission in the Ministry of Transport, “the Federal Aviation Administration says.
