US will monitor Russia from satellites

The United States is sure that Russia after the outbreak of war in Ukraine began to export oil “more than ever.” Therefore, Washington will launch satellites to follow oil tankers from Russia and prevent Moscow from circumventing sanctions, writes Defense One.

The White House has information that some countries bypassing sanctions continue to buy Russian raw materials, and some also earn on its transportation. So, Greece transports up to 55% of Russian energy carriers on its tankers.

Washington will attract private companies engaged in the production and launch of satellites in order to track Russian tankers trying to avoid detection.

The American company Maxar Technologies plans to launch two Worldview Legion satellites by the end of the year, and then two more every two months in order to increase the number of filming the United States of the districts to 15 times a day.
