The Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan Baddyr Kurbanov on Tuesday accepted the head of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces, General Michael Kurill. This was reported by Uzbek media with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
The negotiations discussed the cooperation of the two countries in the military sector and its prospects for the future, noted in the defense department.
Minister of Defense Kurbanov emphasized that the development of bilateral relations based on equal rights, mutual trust and respect has been entering a new level in recent years.
Michael Kurill visited Uzbekistan in the summer of 2022, shortly after appointing to his post. In addition to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, he then met with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Secretary of the Security Council Viktor Makhmudov.
