President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on ratification of an agreement with Pakistan on military-technical cooperation, the newspaper.uz reports.
The document was published in the national database of legislation.
The agreement was signed in Islamabad on March 3, 2022 during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Pakistan. In May 2023, the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan adopted, and in June the Senate approved the law on ratification of the agreement.
Earlier, approving the law, the senators noted that the cooperation of Uzbekistan and Pakistan in the military-technical region is an increase in the defensive potential of the armed forces of the two states and strengthen the foundations of regional security.
