Vagit Alekperov stated share of “LUKOIL” in Shah-Denise

LUKOIL signed binding documents for buying a share in the Shah-Deniz project, in the first quarter will pay it, the head of the company Vagit Alekperov told reporters, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.

LUKOIL is already owned by 10% in the project, and in early October reported that he signed an agreement with Malaysian Petronas on the purchase of its share of 15.5% in Shah Denise for $ 2.25 billion, which would allow to bring the share in Project up to 25.5%. However, SOCAR announced the acquisition from Petronas 4.35%, and BP- 1.16%. Therefore, LUKOIL is now buying only 9.99%.

“Shah-Deniza was signed by documents, in the first quarter the payment will be implemented. Everything goes on schedule. The deal will be closed, binding documents already signed,” said Alekperov.
