Veteran of Patriotic War that lost his wrist and eye won competitions in Switzerland

Veteran of the Patriotic War, Paralympic athletes Rasim Yakhin won a gold medal at the Grand Prix in Switzerland.

At competitions in the city of Notwil, Rasim in the pushing of the nucleus showed the result of 11.71 meters and won gold. Our athlete performed in category F46, which includes athletes with damage to the upper extremities.

During the release of Shushi, Rasim Yakhin received a fragmentation wound, losing his left wrist and eyes. With the support of the Yaşat Foundation, Israeli doctors installed a prosthesis on his left eye.

Rasim Yakhin was awarded the Order of the Flag of Azerbaijan, medals for the liberation of Fizuli, Kelbadzhara, Dzhebrail, Khojavend and Shushi.

Earlier in Notvil, gold in the national team of Azerbaijan was won by Samir Nabiev, Elvin Aslanov, Olokhan Musaev and Elchin Muradov. And Arzuman Pakhirov and Togrul Gumbatov became silver winners.
