Victor Yushchenko: world will come only after victory of Ukraine

“Ukraine is a victim of the war.” This was stated by the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, speaking in the online format on the topic “Threats of global world order” as part of the IX Global Baku Forum.

He recalled that Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan faced conflicts. According to the ex-president, these conflicts are not related to either Ukraine, or Transnistria, nor with Karabakh.

“This is due to the policy of Russia. After the Second World War, Europe is experiencing the largest crisis:” Russia has captured other people’s territories, and Ukraine became a victim of the war. Our partners understand this, and there are many of them, ”said Yushchenko.

The ex-president of Ukraine emphasized that the candidacy of Georgia and Ukraine in NATO was blocked by the leaders of France and Germany at the Bucharest Conference.

“Just a few months after the debate on this issue, the Russian army began a war against Georgia,” he said, adding that some politicians in the West now offer Ukraine to compromise and give way to land, which is unacceptable.

Yushchenko noticed that in recent months, Europe paid $ 93 billion for Russian gas, and Ukraine received only $ 8 billion as humanitarian and military assistance.

“The Ukrainian question is a global question. This, however, is not a question of one Ukraine. We must win! Only when we win, the world will come,” he added.
