On Saturday, August 30, Türkiye celebrates the 103rd anniversary of Victory in the battle of Dumlupinar.

Victory Day is one of the most significant holidays of the Turkish Republic. On this day, festive events are held throughout the country.

The offensive of the Turkish army under the command of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, which began on August 26, 1922 and ended on August 30 by the defeat of the interventionists (great offensive), entered the world history as one of the greatest examples of heroism. In 1919, the Entente countries, referring to the provisions of the Mudosky truce, introduced troops to Anatoly. The future of the Turkish people was threatened.

Greek troops were surrounded and defeated. The remaining scattered units of the Greek troops fled.

After the victory under the Dumlupinar, Mustafa Kemal -Pasha gave a new order of the army: “Your first goal is the Mediterranean Sea. Forward!”.
