The volume of production of the Turkish automotive industry in January-June 2023 increased by 13 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching an indicator of 735 thousand 231 units. This is evidenced by the data of the Association of the Automobile Industry of Turkey (OSD).
Issue directly cars for the reporting period decreased by 21 percent – to 462 thousand 401 units.
Given the total volume of the car industry collected for the period under consideration, the total volume of the car industry reached 765 thousand 282 units.
In January-June, the production of commercial cars in Turkey increased by 2 percent compared to the same period last year.
The export of automotive industry products in the first half of the year amounted to 505 thousand 926 units, which is 8 percent more than 2022. The export of cars, in turn, increased by 20 percent, export of commercial cars was reduced by 8 percent, export of tractors increased by 15 percent.
