Dutch racer Vaut Elez from the XDS Astana team, who completed the fourth stage of the 60th Presidential Bicycle of Turkey (TUR 2025) in the first place and in the turquoise T-shirt, said that he won the stage due to the correct tactics of the team.
Speaking at a press conference at the end of the Marmaris -Akjaka (Kyran) stage, the poal said: “This is a very good tournament. I am very pleased to win the stage. Our team has a very important advantage in the general classification. There are still a second half of the competition. I think that the audience enjoyed this race.”
According to him, he and his teammate Harold Lopez built the tactics of the race as they planned.
“If my plan failed, Lopez had to come to the fore. He strongly supported me, and I thank him for this. For the team this is a significant victory. The participant was a little lucky with the weather, but it was a sufficient interesting and pleasant race.”
