Wall On Border Of United States And Mexico Will Be Painted Black To Combat Illegal Migration

The walls on the US border with Mexico will be painted black as part of the measures to contain illegal migration, the US Minister of Internal Security Christie Nooy said.

, the initiative is carried out on the personal assignment of President Donald Trump. As reports The Hill, she announced new measures during a visit to the Santa Teresa area on the santa tierce on the Southern Border of New Mexico.

She noted that the height and construction of the walls do not allow migrants to cross the border either from below, and explained that the black paint would be used in order for the metal to be burnt stronger, making the penetration even more difficult.

“This is done specifically at the request of the president. In hot weather, the surface painted in black is heated stronger, which makes attempts to cross the wall extremely difficult,” the minister emphasized.

Technological equipment

Noah also noted that cameras and sensors will be installed to enhance and prevent the illegal penetration.

During the visit, the minister personally showed the staining process, picking up the roller and symbolically dyeing a small section of the wall.

The border service chief Mike Banks added that the new staining technology will also protect the walls from corrosion. On July, statistics were published, which again showed a record low level of violations on the border in the entire history of the United States.
