Ways of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in agrarian sphere were discussed in Baku

On Thursday, a seminar on the topic of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the agricultural sector was held on Thursday.

At the opening of the event organized by the Council for Foreign Economic Relations, Turkey-Azerbaijan (Deik) as part of the 16th International Agricultural Fair (Caspian AGRO) was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Sarvan Dzhafarov, Turkish Ambassador to Baku Bagdzhi, Co. On the Turkish side, Kemal Kologlu and numerous representatives of the business world.

In his speech at the event, the Bagdzhi ambassador noted that it is important and valuable for Turkey to share experience in agriculture with fraternal Azerbaijan.

Reminding that the heads of Turkey and Azerbaijan set the goal of increasing the volume of trade between the two countries and to achieve this goal the necessary infrastructure is created, the ambassador said: “We must make more efforts. It is gratifying that we already see positive results in this direction.”

Bagdzhi added that the scope of the agreement on the preferential trade between Turkey and Azerbaijan is expanding.

He expressed confidence that in the future this agreement will become more comprehensive.

Co-chairman of the Cooperation Council Turkey-Azerbaijan Deik in his speech noted that the heads of state determined the task of achieving the volume of trade between countries of $ 15 billion.

“Our goal is to increase the volume of trade between the two countries. The current figure of 4 billion does not reflect the existing potential. In particular, the support of the Turkish private sector and the state in the development of Karabakh will continue,” said Kologue.
