“We do not want to participate in your mercury parties”: scandal in parliament of Armenia

Opposition factions “Iyastan” and “Honor I have” announced a boycott of the next meetings of the Armenian parliament, “Armenpress” reports.

At the beginning of today’s meeting, the head of the Iyastan faction Seyran Ohanyan said that in protest, his faction would not accept participation in the work of regular meetings of parliament. With this step, he expresses his protest against the fact that the ruling force did not meet the initiative about convening on November 15 of an extraordinary meeting of the parliament to discuss the situation at the borders of Armenia.

Deputy from the “Honor” faction Ike Mamyjanian stated that their faction would also not participate in the next meetings. He stressed that they will return to the meeting room when the problems facing Armenia will be discussed in terms of importance.

“We do not want to participate in your mercury parties,” said Mamijanian, boycotting the discussion of the “Law on Mercury”, standing on the agenda in the Armenian Parliament.
