Before the completion of the transition of the city of Lachin and the villages of Zabukh and SUS under the control of Azerbaijan in border settlements in the Syunik region of Armenia (West Zangezur), local authorities began to massively select weapons from people.
According to the Armenian media, the official version is the movement of weapons to arsenals, but local residents believe that the authorities in this way want to minimize possible resistance and provocations after the transition of the above settlements under the control of Azerbaijan.
The former head of the administration of the Aravus Sunik region, Argam Ovsepyan, also confirmed that his weapons were selected.
“I can say on my own behalf that they took my weapon. I am an active participant in three wars, a military leader with 30 years of experience, my weapons were taken away,” Ovsepyan was unhappy.
