The official representative of the White House Jen Psaki declared the lack of interest to the United States in order to start the third world war. So she commented on the appeal of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to create an expert zone over Ukraine during the daily briefing
According to her, Washington’s refusal is associated with the interests of US National Security. “As we said earlier: the non-flight zone will require us and NATO to potentially shoot down Russian aircraft. We are not interested in getting into the third world war,” said Psaki.
At the same time, Psaki clarified that the United States does not see the difference between the humanitarian and military non-flying zones in Ukraine, since both options will lead to further escalation of the conflict.
