White House: Taliban Not Friends America

The United States does not trust the Taliban and do not consider this grouping friendly, the spokesman for the White House Jen Psaki said, specifying that Washington had no reason to consider Taliban involved in the explosions in Kabul, where more than 100 people were killed.

During the briefing from the media, Jen Psaki said that thanks to cooperation with the Taliban, the United States evacuated more than 100 thousand people from Afghanistan. “I’m not trying to embellish our point of view of the Taliban. This is not the group that we trust, they are not our friends, we never said. But the reality is that the Taliban controls most of Afghanistan,” explained Psaki at a press conference, her words leads “Kommersant”.

Press Secretary of the White House added that the United States has no information that the Taliban knew about the prepared explosions or somehow participated in their preparation. She also confirmed that Washington plans to complete the evacuation from Afghanistan within the prescribed period – until August 31.
