White House: Ukraine Considered New Draft Peace Plan To Be Fully Consistent With Its National Interests

The Ukrainian delegation considers the draft peace agreement prepared following the negotiations in Geneva to be fully consistent with the national interests of Ukraine.

This is stated in a White House statement published following negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland, on the American peace plan to end the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

It is reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, President Donald Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, together with the Ukrainian delegation, conducted a final review of the text of the draft peace agreement.

The statement emphasized that the meeting was held in a constructive and productive manner. All key issues of concern to Ukraine – security guarantees, long-term economic development, infrastructure protection, freedom of navigation and political sovereignty – were comprehensively considered.

Ukrainian representatives confirmed that, taking into account the amendments and clarifications made, the current version of the document fully reflects the national interests of Ukraine, meets its basic strategic needs and contains reliable, implementable mechanisms for protecting the country’s security in both the short and long term, White said house.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress made and agreed to continue consultations to finalize the agreements.
