WHO declared a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine

Head of the European Bureau of the World Health Organization Hans Klajla stated that the Russian invasion of Ukraine led to a large-scale humanitarian catastrophe.

In an interview with BBC, Twege said that currently the WHO has three priorities:

– Strengthening the health care system in neighboring countries where the number of refugees continues to grow;

– Opening of the WHO Operational Center in Ukraine.

Earlier, the clue said that for 13 days of the invasion, the Ukrainian health system was under severe pressure, and Europe faced the fastest growing crisis with refugees over the past 75 years.
