WHO Warns Of Threat Of Hunger For Children In Sudan

Children in Sudan are on the verge of hunger against the background of the ongoing armed clashes in the country. This was stated by the CEO of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adkhan Goebreesus.

In the publication on the X platform, Goebreesus drew attention to the worsening humanitarian situation, emphasizing that “children are faced with hunger, and employees of humanitarian organizations die, trying to deliver vital assistance”.

He expressed condolences to the UN World Food Program (WFP) and the UN Children’s Fund, which lost its employees as a result of attacks.

The head of the SRT condemned attacks on humanitarian workers and called for immediate and constant protection of the civilian population, infrastructure and mission employees.

“The best medicine is the world,” he added.
