In Baku, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the republican subject olympiads was held.
The event began with the execution of the state anthem. Then the participants in the event with a minute of silence honored the memory of Azerbaijan who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Opening the event, the head of the organization and management of general education of the Ministry of Education Foid Garaev made a report on the analysis of the results of republican subject Olympiads.
Education Minister Emin Amrullaev congratulated the winners and talked about working with talented students. E. Amrullaev noted that the results of Azerbaijani students at international olympiads are improved every year, adding that the victories of our students at all international olympiads should be highly appreciated, because each medal is a joy and at the same time our pride.
The Minister also said that in the liberated territories it is planned to build centers and laboratories to prepare our schoolchildren for the Olympiads, and that one of the main priorities today is the expansion of the geography of the Olympiad.
9 gold medalists were awarded at the ceremonies, showing the highest results for each subject in republican subject olympiads. According to the results of the Olympiads of 186, students took third place, 139 – the second, 72 students – the first.
