At the International Investment Forum “Dushanbe-Invest-2025”, which opened on October 14 with the participation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, 26 agreements and memorandums were signed totaling 3.12 billion US dollars.
As reported by state media, most of the agreements concern the energy sector, which accounts for about 2.4 billion dollars. Among the documents signed are agreements with companies from China, Russia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia aimed at developing projects in the field of renewable energy sources and the construction of solar and wind power plants.
The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan signed a number of key documents with foreign partners. Among them are the Chinese companies Wuhan Building Material Industry and Ejing Technology, which will invest in the construction of solar power plants with a capacity of 500 megawatts in the Sughd and Khatlon regions. A similar project with a total capacity of 500 megawatts will be implemented jointly with the Tajik company Aen Energy.
In addition, the Vietnamese company Rox Group and the Russian company Rosatom Energy Renewable JSC signed memorandums of cooperation with the Tajik side in the field of training and implementation of solar energy projects with a capacity of up to 1,000 megawatts.
In addition to energy, nine industrial agreements worth $386 million and communications agreements worth $333.5 million were signed. These projects provide for the development of infrastructure, improving the quality of services and the creation of new production facilities.
Four agreements were also signed within the framework of public-private partnerships worth $8.9 million aimed at implementing social and infrastructure initiatives.
Separately noted was the signing of two memorandums with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the framework of the 5th meeting of the Joint intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and cultural issues, opening up new prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation.
The event was attended by more than 1,500 representatives from dozens of countries, including delegations from the European Union, the Middle East, Central Asia and China. The forum has become an important platform for demonstrating the investment potential of Tajikistan and strengthening ties with international partners.
