The Baku Court of Court of Crime Courts continues the trial in the criminal case of the former Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the population Salim Muslimov, who is accused of excess of official powers, the assignment of 27 million manat of budget money, as well as in bribery.
According to Haqqın.az, on Monday, October 17, a court meeting, Judge Fagig Ganiev, the director of the prosthetic and orthopedic and rehabilitation center of the State Agency of the Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Labor Asif Medzhids and the head of the supply department of this structure Bakhshaliev did not appear in court for interrogation as witnesses, despite repeated challenges. And he said that Medzhidov sent two telegrams to the court. In a telegram of September 19, he indicated that he was on a business trip, and in a telegram of September 26 – that he could not appear in the court for health reasons, confirming the application given during the investigation. The judge decided on the forced drive of both persons to the court.
After the testimony, the witness Khabib Mamedov gave. He stated that he was engaged in construction work, that he has his own construction company. In 2015, Mamedova’s company won the tender announced by the Ministry for the construction of houses for the disabled Karabakh and the families of the Shahids in Naftalan, Zardab, Shemakh, Terter, Gahe. Before the tender, the businessman met with the head of the Department of the Ministry of Labor Natic Azizov and handed him 39 thousand manata: he built 13 houses. Another witness, Akif Mamishev, indicated that from 2014 to 2020 he worked as the head of the Dzhelil district department of the Social Protection Fund. He said that in the department he headed during his work, checks were carried out and shortcomings were discovered. After this deputy chief of the internal control department of the Nizami, Khanlarov called Mamishev to the ministry and said that he had to pay 15 thousand manat. The head of the department had no money. At the end, the sides came together on 13 thousand manat. “I am 62 years old, I received 1115 manatov. After I paid Khanlarov 13 thousand in his office, they officially reprimanded me. But they did not dismiss.”
