World Bank appreciated loss of Ukraine in $ 60 billion

“Damage that Ukraine suffered as a result of hostilities, damage to infrastructure and buildings reached $ 60 billion.” This was stated by the President of the World Bank David Malpass, reports Reuters.

According to him, it is a preliminary assessment that does not include economic costs.

“This is the damage caused by the destruction of infrastructure and buildings. As the fighting continued, losses will grow,” said Malpass.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who participated in the conference, led another assessment.

For very preliminary estimates, Ukraine lost $ 550 billion as a result of destruction, and the country needs $ 7 billion per month to compensate for economic losses.

Zelensky also noted that Russian assets frozen as a result of sanctions can be used to restore Ukraine and the filling of damage that other countries suffered.
