According to the Secretary General, despite the fact that due to the pandemic planned in our country in 2020 and 2021, prestigious international events were never held in this sport, internal competitions did not stop at the Baku Rifle Center, the teams continued to prepare .
The representative of the Federation noted that the current favorable situation aroused interest in this sport. “In particular, the championship of the country of bullet shooting from April 28 to May 2 once again demonstrated what interest in this sport is among adolescents and youth. Over 60 athletes representing various sports clubs from the country’s regions competed in shooting from a pneumatic pistol and A pneumatic rifle at a distance of 10 meters, as well as in shooting at a distance of 25 and 50 meters from a small -caliber pistol, ”said Emin Jafarov.
In addition, according to the decision of the Executive Committee of the International Sports Firing Federation (ISSF) in Baku from May 27 to June 7, the World Cup will be held, within which athletes will compete in bullet and bench shooting at 15 Olympic disciplines. During this prestigious competition, the Baku Rifle Center will receive about 700 athletes from more than 70 countries. Famous arrows, world and European champions, winners of the Olympic Games will fight for the victory in Azerbaijan.
Note that the Baku Rifle Center, which was commissioned in 2015, has at its disposal a territory of 16 hectares. In its infrastructure and equipment, the center is considered one of the four best in Europe.
