World Judo Championship started in Doha

In the capital of Qatar, Doha, the World Judo Championship started.

As reported in the Turkish judo Federation, on the first day of the championship, judo competitions were held among men in the category up to 60 kg.

In the second round of the competition, Turkish judoka Salikh Yildiz won over the representative of Kyrgyzstan Hanbolat Irsabekov. In the third round, Yyldyz lost to South Korets Lee Harim.

On Monday, May 8, judo competitions will be held among men in the category up to 66 kg. Turkey will be presented by Muhammad Ali Demirt.

The championship will allow athletes to get points and quotas for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
