Zelensky: 1,000 Attack UAVs Were Launched Across Ukraine In Week

Over the past week, about 1,000 attack drones, almost 980 guided aircraft munitions and 36 missiles of various types were launched across Ukraine. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel on Sunday, November 16.

According to Zelensky, more than 170 drones were launched across Ukraine last night. The President clarified that work to eliminate the consequences continues in the Kharkov, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as in the Sumy and Chernigov regions.

“Over the past night, more than 170 drones were launched across Ukraine, at least half of them were Shahed type drones. And over this entire week-long period, about 1000 attack drones, almost 980 guided bombs and 36 missiles of various types,” the head of state wrote.

Zelensky said that Ukraine needs to further strengthen the airspace protection system. In his address, he noted that Kyiv is working with European partners to agree on additional measures in the field of air defense. “We have prepared new agreements with European countries, which should significantly strengthen our sky defense system, stability and diplomatic capabilities,” the Ukrainian leader said.
