Zelensky: Almost 1,500 Attack Drones And More Than 70 Missiles Were Fired At Ukrainian Cities In Week

Russia strikes Ukrainian citizens with various types of weapons almost every night. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky wrote about this in the Telegram channel on Sunday, November 2.

Zelensky noted that in the evening strikes were carried out in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Chernihiv and Odessa regions. “Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. My condolences to everyone who lost loved ones due to these attacks,” the head of state wrote.

According to the president, this week alone “the Russians used almost 1,500 attack drones, 1,170 guided bombs and more than 70 missiles of various types to strike Ukraine.” Hits were recorded in ordinary residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and there were also “numerous terrorist attacks” on energy facilities.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to everyone who helps after these attacks: rescuers working quickly on the ground, energy workers, doctors and all emergency services.

“It is obvious that Moscow seeks to harm, first of all, our people. That is why we are actively working to ensure reliable support for our energy this winter. Already there are substantive agreements with our partners,” the president emphasized.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine is supported with financial contributions to the Energy Support Fund or necessary equipment by the United States, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Spain and the European Commission.

“Thank you to everyone who is with Ukraine!” Zelensky concluded.
