Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron signed a declaration providing for the purchase of French weapons by Kiev. Ukrainian media reported this.
The document was signed as part of Zelensky’s visit to Paris.
The document reportedly includes the intention to purchase 100 Rafale fighter jets.
It is noted that the leaders of Ukraine and France signed a “historic agreement” that talks about long-term cooperation between the two countries.
According to Ukrainian media, the agreement also provides for the transfer of the SAMP/T air defense system, capable of destroying ballistic missiles on level with the American Patriot.
