Zelensky and Steinmeier discussed situation in Ukraine

During a working visit to Germany, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian leader, Zelensky emphasized that Germany provided temporary protection for more than a million Ukrainians – the largest number of European states.

“Leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine and the current needs of our country against the backdrop of Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy and active hostilities along the entire front,” the statement said.

The President of Ukraine thanked Germany for the adoption and organization of an international conference on the restoration of Ukraine.

“We are highly appreciated by the pan -European leadership of Germany and all the assistance rendered to Ukraine. According to the results of the International Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine, we rely on specific agreements and results for the development of the economy, the influx of foreign investment and eliminate the consequences of large -scale destruction caused by Russian aggression,” said Vladimir Zelensky .

Leaders discussed the expectations of Ukraine from the inaugural summit of the world, the result of which should be the implementation of three points of the Ukrainian formula of the world.

During the meeting, they also discussed a partnership between Ukrainian and German cities and communities. The presidents took him under a common patronage in October 2022. Then Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid special attention to the restoration of Chernihiv region.
