President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia could strike at the infrastructure of the country’s nuclear power plants. He said about this during a speech at a special meeting of the European Council.
“Russia has already destroyed almost all of our heat generation. We do not exclude that the infrastructure of our other nuclear stations and distribution networks is also under threat of Russian terror,” the head of state said.
According to him, to prevent such a development of events, Western partners must provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems. “This can be stopped only by the power of the air defense- specific systems of Patriot, Iris-T, SAMP/T, NASAMS. Systems that are at your disposal. They are needed in Ukraine right now,” the president said.
