The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Ermak notes that Kyiv does not consider the placement of peacekeeping missions. According to UNIAN, Ermak said at a joint briefing with the participation of the former Secretary General of the UN Pan Hi Mun and former president of Colombia and the 2016 Nobel Prize of the 2016 Juan Manuel Santos Calderon.

In particular, Ermak was asked if the prospect of the work of peacekeeping missions in Ukraine is now being considered in the context of ensuring the safety of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and the demilitarization of the territory around it.

“This issue is not discussed today. Today, our position is very clear. Firstly, we strive to de-competing all our territories. And, secondly, today, control over strategic nuclear objects, such as the Zaporizhzhya station, “There is no completely different option – it must be fully controlled by Ukraine,” said Yermak.

He said that the nuclear power plant is located on Ukrainian land.
