Zelensky appropriated title of “Hero of Ukraine” to leader of Crimean Tatar people

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky honored the title of Hero of Ukraine the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustaf Abduljamil, who turned 80 years old. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The head of state congratulated Mustaf Abduljamil on the anniversary and thanked “for the defense of the interests of Ukraine and his struggle for the rights of the Crimean Tatars.”

“I want to thank you for the fact that we are together in this struggle. I wish you a lot of health to see our fair victory, restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine,” said Vladimir Zelensky.

The leader of the Crimean Tatar people said that it was honor for him to get the highest difference.

“In such circumstances, this award has a huge meaning for me. At the same time, this is a great moral support for our compatriots, who have been in the occupation for the tenth year,” he said.
