President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherrisha to use all the UN mechanisms to return Ukrainian prisoners of war to their homeland, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Much attention (during the meeting – Ed.) was paid to a very painful issue – the issue of protecting and liberation of Ukrainian prisoners who are held by Russia. He called on the UN Secretary General to use all possible measures and involve all the organization’s mechanisms to return all our people home “,” Zelensky noted.
Also, according to the president, consent arose regarding the speedy direction of the mission to establish the facts of the death of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Elena.
