Zelensky: Delegation For Negotiations With Russian Federation Will Head Rustem Umarov

The Ukrainian delegation for negotiations with Russia in Turkey will be headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umarov. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Telegram.

According to him, the delegation will include representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the presidential office.

The head of state noted that he held a meeting of the results of negotiation work regarding Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that Kyiv is ready to “work as productively as possible” for the release of prisoners, return the abducted children, terminate the murders and for the preparation of the meeting of leaders for the “real completion of this war.”

“Our position is as transparent as possible. Ukraine never wanted this war, and it is Russia who must end the war, which itself began,” Zelensky said.
