President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky today held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (National Security and Defense Council), which considered the issue of the next attempts to annexation of the territory of Ukraine and the escalation of the conflict by Russia. In particular, the meeting participants discussed ways to counteract the attempts of the Russian Federation to annex Ukrainian territories.
NSDO also considered the issue of ensuring the “Collective Security of Ukraine and the Euro -Atlantic Space”.
“measures were discussed that must be taken to ensure the collective security of the Euro-Atlantic space and Ukraine. In particular, this strengthening and expanding the international coalition in support of Ukraine, increase military-technical assistance to our state, strengthening sanction pressure on Russia, and the introduction of proposals to ensure security in the international arena, activation of the nuclear deterrence of Russia from the European Atlantic space, as well as counteracting hybrid threats caused by Russia, ”the statement said.
